We charter dry bulk vessels between 10,000 - 110,000 DWT that cater specifically to move bulk cargoes such as fertilisers, grain, and limestone across Middle East and Asia. We primarily charter vessels on time charter to sub-charter the vessel to charterers on voyage basis.

Principal Activities

  • Chartering of Vessels and or commercial operations of ships sizes ranging from Handysize - Panamax.

  • Identifying potential cargoes in the market after freight market analysis and overall freight point of view development.

  • Negotiation of freight rates and charter party terms.

  • Maintenance of database/time series of historical market rates and analyzing all charter party risks and work with ship vetting process

  • Arranging funds required for particular voyage or time charter after costs are estimated by expert teams.

  • Ensuring proper paperworks to secure Charterers position on commencement of Charter, at load port, during Steaming, bunkering, on arrival at disport, during discharging and upon redelivery.

  • Processing dispatch & Demurrage claims from.

  • Appointing agents, Stevedores, Port Captains, Supercargo, surveyors, where necessary at competitive costs.

  • Arranging efficient and economical bunkering by advance planning.

  • Arranging other husbandry requirements of the vessel as required by the charter party and head owners' requirements if any from time to time.

  • OCPL has separate teams who monitor vessel's performance while loading, during steaming, bunkering, discharging and idling times.

  • OCPL executes all Operations with due diligence and in an efficient manner by using its best endeavors in accordance with sound Operating practices. Vessel operations are carried out utilizing suitably qualified manpower and adequate resources in full compliance with mandatory international and local maritime regulations and as per the requirements of the governing charter party.
